Site Maintenance officer – Permanent Position

32.5 hours per week.
Salary £24,404 pro rata, Actual salary £21,436 with additional £1 per day split shift allowance.

The governors are seeking to recruit a flexible, enthusiastic and reliable site maintenance officer to start as soon as possible. To work in our busy school, you must be positive, hardworking and have a strong commitment to high standards of service delivery and take pride in your work.
You will be responsible for site security, general maintenance work, minor repairs, health and safety issues relating to the building, cleaning and porterage duties. Good communication, interpersonal and excellent DIY skills are essential. You will be expected to undertake daily, weekly and monthly building/security and Fire checks with some paperwork checklists to be completed. Training for this will be given. You will be the main point of contact and oversee all contractors visiting the building, working with the School Business Manager to ensure that all cyclical maintenance is kept up to date.
The hours are 7.00am -10.0am and 2.30pm -6.00pm there is room for some flexibility to change these times and there is a split shift allowance of £1 per day. There may include some later nights, if the school is used out of the usual school opening hours but these will be discussed in advance and overtime may be available.

This school follows the recommended safeguarding children procedures and any offer of an appointment is subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
