The Headteacher and Governors of St Mary of the Angels Catholic Primary School, are seeking to appoint a passionate and enthusiastic KS2 class teacher to our experienced, hardworking and lovely team. This is in Upper KS2 starting in November 2026. Although, a temporary maternity cover position, it will be subject to a probation period during the first 6 weeks of employment.
At St Mary of the Angels, we strive to maintain our high standards of attainment across the school, whilst also being extremely proud of our nurturing approach to support each of our children as individuals. We work hard as a whole school team to ensure that we provide enrichment through both teaching and pastoral care for everyone.
We are lucky enough to have a beautiful new school building, lots of greenery, our own fully established forest school and be at the heart of our wider community. The senior management are very supportive and have a strong commitment to all staff, their wellbeing and their professional development.
We are looking to appoint someone who will be able to deliver strong outcomes for all the children in a positive way. Interpersonal and communication skills are vital, as is, being able to use your own initiative whilst still working collaboratively within a team. We would welcome any contributions to the broader life of school that you may be able to share through either your skillset or via suggestions, assemblies on certain topics or the running of groups/clubs.

The recruitment process will consist of a classroom observation and interview scheduled to take place week commencing 13th September 2026.
